REMEMBERING PAUL

A
n AI-generated biker image created by RebelBikerDude using Grok - also, be sure to check out at the very end of this gallery two AI-generated video clips of this image, created by RBD using Grok Imagine

Despite being a biker for the whole of my adult life, I haven't known very many black bikers, i.e. biker guys of colour. However, it just so happens that among those I have known was one of my all-time best biker mates, whose name was Paul. Just a few years younger than me, Paul and I had been mates for many years, and being in his company was never less than an absolute delight. Very tall, powerfully built from being an active sportsman as well as a biker, and always with a broad cheeky grin on his face, Paul had an infectious, wicked sense of humour and as a result was immensely popular with everyone. He was also ferociously intelligent and knew more about motorbikes and motorcycling than almost anybody else I've ever known. So you can imagine my immense shock and disbelief when one evening several years ago I opened my copy of the local newspaper and read that Paul had been killed in a car crash. Like other good friends who have passed away down through the years, Paul often appears in my thoughts and memories, and when he did so again a few days ago I decided to create a page of AI biker images in his memory, utilising a wide range of different styles, and post them as a tribute to him. So here they are. RIP my friend & biker bro, I know how much you'd have enjoyed seeing these pix, and I also know how much joy and laughter you're filling Heaven with.

UPDATE: Recently rediscovered & resolution-enhanced, the only clips of Paul and me that I have, from back in our late 20s ((c) RebelBikerDude):

More Magic Studio and Grok biker images next time!

Please click here to access a chronological listing of fully clickable links to all galleries uploaded by me on this blog. NB - all of the images included in this page's gallery were created by me, RebelBikerDude, using the AI image-generation programs Grok and Magic Studio, for non-commercial, tribute purposes only, and do not feature any real-life persons or copyrighted characters.

Finally: With the assistance of the AI image that opens this gallery (and which I created by using as a verbal prompt for Grok an extremely detailed description of Paul as he looked back in his mid-/late 20s), I'm reviving Paul below as he was during the 1980s when we were forever out somewhere riding our motorbikes together. This couple of vid clips, created by me from that AI image using Grok Imagine, capture the two very different, opposite sides to his personality - the hilarious, ever-grinning, fun-filled Paul, and the serious, thoughtful, reflective Paul. After being such an incredible tower of strength and constant source of support to me after Mom passed away at the beginning of April 2013, by the end of that same accursed month Paul was gone from my life too, killed in a car crash. Is it any wonder why I hate April 2013 so much?
