"WE BUILT THIS CITY" - HERE'S BIKEROPOLIS, A PLANET-SIZED STEAMPUNK CITY BUILT BY BIKERS FOR BIKERS!

During the 18 months that my blog has been in existence, I've produced quite a few Steampunk-infused biker galleries (click here, here, here, here, here, here & here to see the most extensive ones), because the intricate visual design of Steampunk has always greatly appealed to me. These galleries in turn have always proved popular with my blog's viewers, judging from their very respectable hit counts. So I felt recently that it was high time to create another one, but I was having difficulty coming up with a specific scenario for it. A few days ago, however, serendipity afforded me with the necessary inspiration, albeit via an unexpected source! Walking through a local shop that was playing classic pop music hits, I heard an old favourite of mine beginning to play - 'We Built This City', the 1985 debut single of the American rock band Starship. And as I listened to it, I suddenly had a great idea for my embryonic steampunk gallery. 

Using all of the various AI image-generation programs that I currently emply when producing pictures & video clips for my blog, why not create a series depicting various architectural facets of a vast, structurally-spectacular, steampunk-inspired metropolis consisting of a colossal conglomerate of individual cities that have gradually expanded & coalesced into a single planet-wide mega-megalopolis, built by bikers for bikers & dubbed Bikeropolis by them, its exclusive inhabitants? Nor would it be situated in any typical, straightforward location either. Instead, I envisaged this unique biker empire perching precariously upon the caldera rim of a long-dormant, ancient volcano occupying an entire planet, one that is itself nowadys known as Bikeropolis, and existing somewhere within the infinite expanse of the Bikerverse.

So that's what I did, but I became so enthusiastic in the process that I created far too many pictures for a single gallery devoted to steampunk-designed Bikeropolis. Consequently, I've created two - and here is the first one. In both of them, moreover, the respective art styles employed by the various programs when generating their pictures vary dramatically from one another, but the content in all of the pix is visually stunning & unequivocally steampunkian!

NB - Be sure not to miss the very last picture here - looking at it, I'm guessing that the biker it depicts may have originated on the Isle of Man! Scroll right down to the end of this gallery, and you'll see what I mean! (Clue: think of a distinctive symbol closely associated with this Celtic island!)
