An AI image of a brave biekr confronting one of the sinister living biker scarecrows of Skiachtro; image created by RebelBikerDude usingNightCafe
I learnt a new word this morning that inspired me to create this gallery today: formidophobia - the fear of scarecrows. But why would anyone - other than crows! - be frightened of a funny harmless old scarecrow? If you're asking that question, you've clearly never visited the Bikerverse planet of Skiachtro - a visually sumptuous but decidedly weird world ruled by living biker scarecrows!
Some of these humanoid, traditionally straw-constructed entities are relatively genial, even amiable, and also include certain ones that are ethereal, non-tangible in form, composed not of straw or any kind of physical constituent but of primordial aether instead, as ancient as time itself. However, there are plenty of others that not only are unequivocally substantial but also are decidedly hostile, ranging in appearance & behaviour from creepy & sinister to truly terrifying & totally maniacal - as discovered by a group of human bikers who recently paid a visit to Skiachtro, but swiftly wished that they'd stayed at home on Biker Earth!
Today's gallery showcases these bikers' hair-raising encounters with Skiachtro's spine-chilling inhabitants as they soon find out, with good reason & at uncomfortably close quarters, exactly what it feels like to be formidophobic! [FYI: in case you're wondering about the derivation of this very peculiar planet's name, Skiachtro is Greek for scarecrow.]
